Douglas R. Andrews, K.C.

Douglas (Doug) R. Andrews, K.C. has handled over 4,000 criminal cases in his career as a criminal defence lawyer. Although he has represented around 100 people charged with murder, none of his clients have ever been convicted of first-degree murder. Doug is a 45-year veteran of the courtroom and exclusively practices criminal law. He has a great understanding of the Saskatchewan justice system, knows when to negotiate, and knows how to win at trial. During his prestigious career, Doug has acted as counsel in many high-profile cases providing skilled and fearless representation regardless of the circumstances.

Doug is a founding partner of Andrews Benko & Associates. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1976. Doug is a former Bencher for the Law Society of Saskatchewan and received the designation of Queen's Counsel in 2000. Those who have worked at Andrews Benko & Associates over the past 45 years have benefitted from Doug's extensive knowledge and experience.

Peggy M. Benko, B.A., LL.B.

Peggy M. Benko has 35 years of experience as a successful family law practitioner. These years of experience have given Peggy valuable insight and an illustrious reputation in the Saskatchewan legal community. Peggy's 35 years of legal experience has involved various civil actions and working as an agent for the Attorney General, but her passion is family law. Peggy handles all matters of family law, including separation, divorce, child access and custody, child and spousal support, property division and adoptions. She enjoys working with her clients to find resolutions in high-conflict situations and complex legal issues.

As one of the founding partners of Andrews Benko & Associates, Peggy has been achieving her goals since early in her career. Peggy received her Bachelor of Arts in German Literature and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1982 and 1985, respectively. Peggy goes above and beyond for her clients, far exceeding what is expected from the status quo. Peggy has handled matters at all levels of the Saskatchewan court system and takes satisfaction in knowing that she can use her experience and expertise to help people move forward with their lives.

Christina G. Skibinsky, B.A. (Hons), LL.B.

Christina G. Skibinsky practices in criminal defence and Charter litigation. Christina has 15 years of experience defending important and complex cases in Saskatchewan. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2005. Christina is committed to providing a client-centred results-based approach. Her determination, approach to tackling issues and unique drive are personal qualities she possesses that cannot be bought or taught. She is committed to providing her clients with the best defence possible, and this is reflected in the care and detail she shows in her work.

Christina's practice consists of criminal trial and appellate work.
