Eco Concrete Levelling
Due to soil failure, Lumsden Highways had a problem with a low spot on the highway road. We identified the issue: this was caused by a culvert installed below. The solution? Eco Concrete Levelling implemented Deep FoamJection for this project. We injected foam between the highway and the current culvert, stabilizing the soil while levelling the lane. This process's appeal is to open the highway for public use and fix the problem.
Deep Foamjection uses the same basic process and equipment as polyurethane concrete levelling at nearly any depth through specially designed pipe systems driven down to various depths as required. The material is introduced into the subterranean environment as a premixed liquid. When the liquid solidifies into a foam underground, it acts like mother nature's tree root system to:
- Expand to compact weak soil areas
- Filling Voids
- Binding Soils
This process stabilizes and strengthens the environment mitigating the root causes of a structure, road, or concrete pad from settling. Basic concrete lifting may or may not be a permanent solution since the results of injecting mud or polyurethane just under a slab and getting a lift is only as good as the environment it is sitting on. As a tree grows, the roots sprawl out in different directions. It is often suggested to prevent erosion that, you plant trees that develop root systems. The root systems grow to intertwine with the dirt and hold it together. Deep Foamjection™ creates man-made root systems with foam.
